A fun, fabulous, family event that attracts over 30,000 people from across the City, the Concord Carnival returns to Greenlees Park, Concord, on Sunday 17 March 2019 from 10am to 4pm. This year, homage is paid to the historical significance of the Halcyon Days. With over 80 food, merchandise and information stalls, horse and carriage rides, vintage vehicle displays and free amusements, this FREE carnival filled with family fun has lots going for it.

Children up to age 13 can join the colouring competition by colouring in a vintage design for the chance to win a prize. You can download and print the design HERE. Get creative and return the design to the City of Canada Bay Council by close of business on Tue 12 March 2019.

Celebrating the community's heritage, you'll be reliving a significant and iconic period of time that spanned from the 1920s through to the late 1940s. The roaring twenties was a period of economic prosperity and growth for the middle class. Women's rights grew following their indispensable contribution to the war effort. Celebrities, movie stars and sporting heroes attained unprecedented fame. Cars, lighting, radio broadcasts and more became commonplace. It was the end of the war and the beginning of a housing boom and the 1920s townscape character from this time can still be recognised in the area today. Immerse yourself in a fantastic fun day that harks back and gives a nod to the past.
