UPDATE 23/5 - Concerto Mandolino is called due to illness of several players.

On Sunday 24th of May, 2015, the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra is proudly presenting an exciting concert event featuring the world premiere of a new major work composed by Michelle Nelson through a private commission.

Entitled 'Concerto Mandolino' this work is dedicated to Michelle Wright, the current leader of the MMO and soloist on mandolin for this work.

In addition to 'Concerto Mandolino', audiences will hear renditions of contemporary and classical music from the 1500s to 2015, including dance music from the 16th Century, works by Wilhelm Mohr, a challenging and energetic work by Mexican Eduardo Angulo, a wonderful suite by Sydney mandolin virtuoso Stephen Lalor, and a popular work by one of the world's more frequently performed composers, Karl Jenkins.

This event is sure to delight music lovers of all ages!

Tickets are now on sale through Trybooking or can be reserved by calling 0422 589 675. All tickets are priced $25 and children under 12 receive free entry. Tickets will also be available for sale at the venue on the event day.
