I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Breakfast is served all day and the early opening of 6am is very popular with local business people and passing tourists. The menu is full of items made in house from fresh locally produced ingredients, with plenty of vegetarian options as well as dishes that can be adapted for gluten-free diets.

There is also an attractive courtyard out the back, footpath seating and takeaway coffee can be purchased from the side window. The homemade pies are next level, the crispy pastry filled with tender well-seasoned chunks of slow-cooked rosemary flavoured lamb. For $17, it came with a large side of feta and walnut salad. The other lunch special on the blackboard was a smoked salmon and pistachio salad for $19.50 which was overflowing with flavour and healthy goodness. All of the elements complemented each other perfectly. The creamy richness of the avocado and smoked salmon were balanced by capers, onion and a tangy blood plum dressing.

The coffee was as we liked it and the muffins, scones and milkshakes on a nearby table looked pretty good as well. Components Cafe has a great family atmosphere where you can be sure of a warm welcome and a satisfying dining experience.
