Only around 30 minutes drive from the Perth CBD, the Swan Valley is a hotspot destination for tourists and locals alike to discover the many attractions in the area. It is a stunning region for sightseeing, adventure seekers and foodies alike, showcasing its beautiful natural landscapes, rolling hills of green, vineyards and paddocks, farm animals and its many gastronomical delights for the most serious of foodies.

Restaurants in the Swan Valley
There are numerous restaurants and breweries in the Swan Valley region to grab a bite. A few examples are provided and represent only a few of the myriad of dining options available to visitors.

Lamont's Swan Valley
No trip is ever complete without a good, hearty feed to start the day. Lamont's in the Swan Valley is a welcoming, spacious and family-friendly restaurant, surrounded by nature and with plenty of outdoor seating to embrace the natural garden backdrop.


Lamont's has a 'small tastes' menu that changes each season, offering a variety of small dishes designed for sharing. The servings are generous and the food leaves you hankering for more, so the seasonal menu is a great excuse for you to keep visiting.


Lamont's is open for lunch from 10am to 5pm on Thursday to Sunday, including public holidays but excluding Good Friday. Check Lamont's website for closure dates over the holiday season, as well as a sample of their current menu.

Feral Brewing Company
After a good brunching session, go for a short drive and pop over to the Feral Brewing Company for their Beer Tasting Tray. This is a family-owned handcrafted microbrewery and restaurant in one with a large beer garden setting, making it a perfect place to enjoy the food and drinks that this popular eatery offers.


There are six miniature glasses holding the variety of Feral Brewery beers, which change regularly between their different brews. The smaller portions are perfect for sampling a variety of beers in one go, similar to tapas-style dining.


The Feral Brewing Company is open on Monday to Thursday from 11am-5pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am-late and Sunday from 11am to 8pm. Check their website for public holiday opening hours, menus and further information.

Chesters Restaurant
Chesters Restaurant is a well-known culinary destination in the Swan Valley region for its food and wine. Ideal for both casual dining and formal functions, the venue is elegant and charming, having transformed from a fruit drying shed and stable quarters for a riding academy.

Shopping in Swan Valley
Swan Valley is well known for its abundance of fresh local produce by local farmers and artisan producers. Visitors are spoiled for choice by the range of products available for purchase.

House of Honey
The House of Honey is another famous attraction in the Swan Valley, specialising in raw, pure and other premium quality West Australian honey varieties. This honey farm located in the heart of Swan Valley allows visitors to taste and learn about all things honey, sample free tastings and purchase unique gifts.


The gift shop showcases a huge range of honey and bee-related products from pollen, handmade beeswax candles and beauty products to assorted food and giftwares. In the shop is also an observation hive, a live bee hive display in which visitors can see bees at work and chat with knowledgeable staff and beekeepers about anything and everything about bees.


Located at the House of Honey is also the Sticky Spoon Cafe, where visitors can enjoy the many natural food and beverages sold. Ice-creams, cakes and other mouthwatering desserts such as their famous Bee Sting cake and honey scones are examples of treats available for purchase.

Margaret River Chocolate Company
The Margaret River Chocolate Company is a firm favourite when it comes to a visit to the Swan Valley. Making award-winning chocolate products since 1999, the Margaret River Chocolate Company has established itself as a famous brand in the local region. Its Swan Valley site is always buzzing with customers whether a chocolate-lover or not, as the company makes and sells a huge variety of chocolate bars, chocolate coated treats, handmade truffles, novelty chocolates, sauces and much, much more.


Visitors also gain an insight into the chocolate making process with the factory providing viewing windows to watch chocolate products being made. Free chocolate tasting pastelles placed right at the entrance are also hard to pass up, as visitors can help themselves to milk, dark and white chocolate samples. Providore
Sharing the same location as the Margaret River Chocolate Company is Providore, a gourmet food and wine shopping destination. Voted as one of Australia's Top 100 Gourmet Experiences, Providore is a must for the foodies.


Housed in a spectacular building with beautiful surrounds and its own vineyard, it offers sales and tastings of Providore's full range of award-winning products including wines, liqueurs, homemade jams, preserves, olive oils, sauces, dressings, spice mixes, dried goods, desserts and more. The Swan Valley premises also offers free wine, chocolate liqueur and food tastings, as well as daily wine and chocolate pairing classes.

Things to Visit, Do and See in Swan Valley
There are ample things to do, attractions to see and locations worth visiting in Swan Valley. There are activities and attractions suitable for the whole family and provide entertainment at varied costs. Do your research on places you want to visit and plan your day effectively to visit the large range of attractions in the region.

Cuddly Animal Farm
Swan Valley's Cuddly Animal Farm is touted as a 'must visit' destination for the whole family. For a $13 per person entry fee, visitors have the opportunity to have an up close experience with farmyard animals in an outdoor country atmosphere. Children and adults are invited to interact with the animals, which include alpacas, llamas, ponies, horses, donkeys, mules, kangaroos, emus, lambs, sheep, goats, calves, piglets, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, birds and even more.


Also included in the entry fee is the chance to bottle and bucket feed baby animals, collect eggs, have a pony ride, and have access to free tractor/train rides around the farm, the bouncy castle and play areas as well as the use of gas barbeques and picnic areas in the farm.

Oasis Supa Golf and Adventure Putt
Oasis Supa Golf and Adventure Putt in the Swan Valley provides a fun and unique experience for people of all ages. This is a large picturesque venue with beautiful natural scenery (and emus!) that provides a great recreational choice to soak in the sunshine and beauty of the Swan Valley.



As the world's first 18 hole Supa Golf course, Supa Golf is a modified form of traditional golf and uses oversized clubs and bigger golf balls. Set in a beautiful landscape with neat manicured lawns, visitors have the choice to complete either the 9 or 18 hole option, complete with water traps, bunkers and gum trees as challenges.

Oasis Supa Golf and Adventure Putt is open everyday from 9am-4:30pm on weekdays and from 8am on weekends, excluding Christmas and Boxing Day. Prices start from $6.50 for children under 5 years old, $11 for children under 15 years old and $14 for adults, depending on the choice of game.
