Exercise the mind whilst supporting a great cause
Exercise that brain with a fantastic night of trivia on the 3rd of May at the Richmond Union Bowls Club. Not only do you get a chance to get together with friends over a night of trivia, you also get to support a worthy cause. This trivia night, hosted by QuizzaMe, will help to raise much-needed funds to support The Compassionate Friends Victoria.
The organisation support parents and siblings following the death of a child, regardless of age or cause. It is an organisation that provides peer to peer support with all staff and volunteers being bereaved themselves, so they truly understand the overwhelming grief of the death of a child. Support is provided to bereaved parents and siblings via 24-hour grief support line, support groups right across Victoria, free art therapy sessions, memorial events and workshops to provide strategies to manage their grief and numerous other services to provide hope for a future without their child in it.
It will be an evening of games, prizes and quizzing with no pens or paper – just a quick draw on the buzzer! There will be a silent auction, with items including a Junior Fire Chief Day with the MFB, a 12-month restaurant package with restaurants such as Mamasita, Longrain, Richmond Oysters and De Bortelli Winery all providing $100 vouchers and a dinner party catered for in the recipient's home to just name a few.
