I'm a freelance writer living in Adelaide. A huge passion of mine is visiting different places and exploring what they have to offer. I love capturing my findings in writing :)

It's time to escape the real world at this secluded hideaway
The stresses of everyday life can sometimes take over your whole mind, so leaving it all behind and escaping to a place that is peaceful and one which offers tranquil beauty is just what is needed to recharge the mind, body and soul.

Well, I found this beautiful, peaceful place to be the most perfect place to come and spend your weekend. At the 'Compass Country Cabins' you will unwind and destress yourself of your usual everyday routine.

This stunning property is set on 8 acres of land running along the clean and crystal clear 'Tookayerta Creek' and surrounded by natural bushland.

Imagine spending your relaxing getaway in one of these unique natural pine cabins which overlook the breath taking dam. Just step out onto your verandah and breathe in the fresh air.

These cabins are fully self contained. They have an ensuite bathroom, a washing machine, all of your kitchen needs, a tv, heater and all of your bed and bath necessities. You only need to come prepared with your food and personal toiletries. I should also mention if you have a small dog, it is welcome in your cabin. I think that is an added bonus.

I adore my relaxation time as often as I can get it and I must admit this is one of my favourite getaways. It is the second time I have been here and I know I will be back again sometime.

However you can't just sit around and relax all day can you?... For those of you who answered yes, you will probably like to know that you may request a beauty or massage therapist on site and you will be guaranteed to revitalise your whole mind body and soul.

This place offers something more than just a gorgeous seclusion, there is an area on this property close to the dam where bon fires are welcome. The wood is piled up for you so all you have to do is light your fire. Conveniently it is located next to the BBQ area. Drinks, BBQ, fire. You unwinding yet? I think so.

For those of you who are after being a bit more active in the fresh air then you may like to get closer to the property dam. Yabbies are plentiful and they are huge too. Fishing is also popular either in the dam or the creek.

Do you have kids and worry that they may get bored? Well there's no need. There are a few other hidden surprises here just to keep the littlies entertained. There is a canoe that they can have a paddle on around the dam whenever they please. Perhaps they love ponies. Well there is a pony called 'Peewee' who loves giving kids pony rides on request.

My kid's personal favourite, the Go Kart. Yes, there is a go kart that is just for the kids (and big enough for adults) that they can ride whenever they like. Believe me they will not get bored.

This ideal holiday will be one you will never forget. It really is a location of leisure. It will cost you only $90.00 a night which I think these days is excellent value. Pony rides and massage therapists attract a slightly extra cost. Not only will you relax in this peaceful place, you will bond wonderfully with your family. One suggestion 'leave the lap top at home' and I kid you not this place will certainly impress.
