This novel idea is for anybody who has excess home grown produce such as eggs, fruit, preserves, honey, cakes and jams. Once a month you can bring your produce for an open exchange at Rivers of Yarrambat. Just place your produce on the sharing table and at 10.30 you take what you want.

Demonstrations, tastings, tips and take home recipes handouts are all part of this free community event. Each month there is a different theme. For example, broad bean dip, broccoli soup, bottling peaches, making pickles from cucumbers and gherkins. The most popular no doubt will be home brews. This all happens adjacent the cafes kitchen garden near the duck pond. See… for a review of the café.

Once just a nice little family owned nursery, this is more like a day's event. First they built a gift shop then a café. The Rivers complex now also houses conference facilities, birthday party rooms, and a spa facility.

You can share your wares, do your shopping, the kids can feed the ducks and then perhaps a massage, manicure or pedicure. A great place for may reasons.
