The Eco Fairies have organised a special day for all to enjoy on 5th October.



All day presentations will be on offer with workshops, entertainment, market stalls and not for profit organisations, all aimed at promoting a sustainable community.

This is a free event being held at Karrinyup Community Centre, next to the Karrinyup shopping centre. The event is from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Varied presentations on the main stage include seed saving, solar power for your home and raw food living. As well as additive free kids talk, how to make natural cleaning products and growing your own vegetables. Other presentations include laughter yoga and converting your car to renewable energy.
There will be music at various times during the day by local drumming group WASAMBA.

Find out about verge side gardening or making coasters from old magazines. Other activities include woodwork craft using recycled wood and traditional tools and a dreamcatcher making class.

A highlight for kids will be painting faerie craft at the Eco Faerie marquee as well as face painting, bouncy castle and making compostable pots and planting seeds.

The Kanyana Wildlife Group will have a animal display and wild life rehabilitation talk. The Earth Carers Group have organised a community book exchange in conjunction with Karrinyup Library and a seed swap operated by Permaculture WA.

A novel feature is the clothing swap where you bring three items of your unwanted clothing to swap for three newer items.

This is a day for all to increase their awareness of our environment and have fun while learning.
