Commonwealth Park is located on the north side of Lake Burley Griffin. It offers great views over the Lake and of Parliament House. The park has many small ponds and water features, walking trails, bike paths, sculptures and is popular with tourists. Located at the park is the outdoor Stage 88, which often holds concerts.

There is a large car park and easy access to public transport. Commonwealth Park offers several playgrounds and toilets and plenty of green space for picnics. There is a café for coffee and ice-creams.

In spring time Commonwealth Park is the home of Floriade – a stunning exhibition of floral designs, horticultural delights and plenty of activities for the whole family. Floriade offers great kids programs, including gnome painting, entertainment and petting farm animals. At night time, enjoy Floriade Night Fest - a spectacular light show.
