Common2us is an organic farm and shop located in Dural, Sydney. The farm is managed by a small team of farmers who produce tasty, chemical free fruit and vegetables using organic farming practices.

I have wanted to visit for a long time and was so glad I took some time out with my little ones to head to this special, little farm. I have to say that it was so refreshing to visit somewhere that at its core has positive principles and where there was barely a piece of plastic to be seen. What a treat to take home fruit and veg in paper bags lovingly packed by one of the farmers who grew them.


We were greeted on arrival by Melanie who was really very friendly. She immediately picked some strawberries for the kids who were pretty pleased with this lovely offering. I asked if we could go for a wander around the farm and she was more than happy for us to do so - even offering to take our bags to the shop so that we didn't have to carry them around.

Our first stop was the chicken coop to check out the friendly, free range hens.


We then went for a wander around the five acre farm, checking out the different garden beds and the current crops. It was great to see my little ones so interested in what the plants were and the different planting and farming techniques.




After looking around the farm we then headed on back to the very tempting strawberry patch. Here you can pick your own strawberries (to be weighed and paid for later). My four year old loved finding the strawberries hidden amongst the bushes and it was so lovely to watch her 'hunting' them as she called it. The end of the strawberry season is very soon so if you want to come and pick some make sure you come quickly (perhaps phone ahead to check if there are any left).


After this we headed into the farm shop, which in itself is really delightful. It's a lovely little wooden house with charming baskets and boxes full of chemical free yum.






You can purchase organic seedlings to help you start your own vegetable garden. There are also free range eggs and other organic dry goods for sale.

Without a doubt you will pay more for this produce, but know that you are supporting a small, local, sustainable organisation and filling your tummy with chemical free goodness.


After paying for our produce we sat and ate our freshly picked strawberries and felt at peace in this little farm world.
