Common Rooms , Melbourne's newest venue for independent arts, music and events, located in the revamped Trades Hall, has announced a
program of diverse and inclusive entertainment, ahead of its launch on Friday 8th November. Trades Hall was this year's hub for
Melbourne Fringe , and proved a great success, inspiring the team at Fringe to keep the venue running as an all-year-round venue for people who like to party.
The program for the remainder of this year includes live music, performance, comedy, cabaret and dance parties.
One of the program highlights is
This Beat is Yours , a night of tunes from across the globe, from Afro Beats and Middle Eastern Grooves to Afro House. Featuring Shio Otani, Dean Zepherin, MzRizk and more, these beats are guaranteed to get you up and dancing.
This Beat is Yours plays at

Another 'must see' performance is
Women of Soul - a return performance for a collective of six female artists who have been performing since 2011. These powerful vocalists unite to present one huge night of original soul. Women of Soul features Carla Troiano (Mayfield), Shannen Wick (Fulton Street), Chelsea Wilson, Emilia (The Mamas), Raleigh Williams (Cookin' on 3 Burners) and Laura Ingram, backed by their all-star house band and supported by PBS DJ Ms Goldie. Don't miss the Women of Soul in their only show in 2019!

If singing's your thing, you won't want to miss
Marie's Crisis . New York's iconic piano bar - where there's "no set list, no stage, no microphone and no shooshing" - comes to Melbourne for three nights. Just come along and sing your heart out!
Marie's Crisis takes place at
