I caught up with friends at the because it was conveniently located in the St. Clair Village shopping complex, just off Cheltenham Parade, South Australia. This relatively new centre has a Coles, bakery, medical centre and several takeaway venues.

Located on the edge of the shopping complex, the offers indoor seating and a limited number of alfresco tables sheltered by umbrellas. This is always handy during social distancing because it offers the choice of sitting out in the fresh air.

The appears to be the most up-market of the eating places offered at St. Clair Village, with main courses starting at around $20. They do offer a $5 egg and bacon roll special, and coffee and tea at a reasonable price. Their counter display includes a range of cookies and tempting cakes.

I discovered that their salt and pepper squid, although listed as an entree at $12, was a very generous serve. The squid is tasty and is served on a bed of small leaf lettuce, flavoured with vinaigrette, and accompanied with sweet chilli dipping sauce.

The coffee shop also offers a range of novelty milkshake flavours and gourmet fruit smoothies.
