Comfort food: Wikipedia (source of all knowledge) describes it as "food that brings some form or measure of comfort, sense of well-being, or easy satisfaction". At a café named Comfort at my Table, you would expect the food to elicit just these emotions, and you would not be disappointed.
In the words of the owner, Naomi, they "take old fashioned favourites and bring them to life using seasonally sourced produce with a funky nanna twist". The menu includes such favourites as a steak sandwich, BLT, croque monsieur, eggs benedict and croissants, as well as a lot of unique dishes that will no doubt become old favourites before too long: the zuccini fritters come highly recommended. A small tip – save room for dessert (even if it's breakfast time), because it is a very strong-willed person who can ignore the amazing sweet things on display.
One of the most comforting things about this cafe (besides the amazing flavours), is the prices: there is nothing on the menu for more than $16. Value which is becoming increasingly rarer for such delicious food.
Serving up all sorts of comforty delights for breakfast and lunch, Comfort at my Table most definitely lives up to its name.
