I have never been a lover of breakfast. I cannot get behind eggs and bacon as the first meal of the day, nor am I a massive fan of pancakes. As a result I have always chosen to celebrate special events with dessert, but when your friends are only available to hang out on the morning of your birthday you have to learn to adapt. Luckily for me, I discovered a while back (due to another timetable clash with mates) the only breakfast joint in Brisbane where I am delighted to attend; a beautiful little café in Milton called .

This gorgeous little brekky venue is filled with stunning pastel colours, white tabletops as well as pretty flowers. Whilst the food is delicious, part of the appeal of is how inviting the décor is. It is the perfect venue for a girly catch up or a romantic brunch with those closest to you.

The website recommends a quick phone call if you wish to dine on a weekend and I am very glad I heeded the warning and called three days in advance as when we arrived it was packed. The lovely staff took us to the only empty table and as we sat down I turned to notice a line forming at the door. I remember this happening last time so I would definitely not ignore this warning. However when we left two hours later at mid-day, was a little emptier, so if you wish to try their all-day brekky menu later in the day you should be fine without a booking.

This lovely menu offers a range of delectable meals both sweet and savory. I ordered my newest favourite dish, Avo on Toast. It must have sounded so scrumptious as one of our other attendees also ordered that dish. I was worried about the size of my dish upon its arrival at the table, however these chefs really know what they are doing because as I began to eat my meal I realised it was literally the perfect size with a drink. I left feeling full, but not stuffed, which I think is really important, as it is sometimes hard not to overeat in today's restaurants. My meal was complimented with my Comfort Blush beverage that was a combination of strawberries, cranberries, pineapple, coconut and lime sorbet. This gorgeous assortment of flavours was almost a meal in itself and I certainly appreciated the cool liquid falling down to my stomach on the wickedly hot day we were having at the time.

The others all seemed to enjoy their meals but special attention must be paid to the dessert-like meal chosen by one of the breakfast buddies. The Butterscotch Waffles were divine. I wasn't allowed to taste any this time, as the consumer was very protective of her delicious meal but I have eaten them in the past. The waffles are served with a home made butterscotch sauce, fresh strawberries, cream and roasted pear, a combination which creates the perfect sweet breakfast meal.

Another major plus of sharing a meal at is the prices. Whilst the joint is popular they have kept their prices low ensuring customers will come time and time again. My meal and drink cost $20.10 and I think all the other girls got their meals for under $20. In Brisbane food this good for this cost is a rarity that should be celebrated and tasted.

So the next weekend morning that you want to do try something a bit more interesting than what is on offer in your cupboard or fridge, enjoy a trip to for some tasty breakfast delights.
