Life can throw unexpected curveballs, and 'cancer' is no easy topic to talk about. However, Luke Ryan's Melbourne Fringe comedy show is a 'must see'. Luke shares his story of living with cancer as a child and as an adult, with an honest, self effacing comedic style that is brave and beautiful.
As an audience member I felt safe in Luke's hands, as he 'debunked the myths' of chemo, like baldness and vomiting, and provides strategies on how to exit gracefully from the perils of a one night stand.
This show is not to be missed, as it treats the realities of this disease with a good balance of light heartedness and depth. The only tears I shed were from uncontrollable laughter.
I highly recommend seeing this show at the Melbourne Fringe Festival on now at The Lithuanian Club Errol Street North Melbourne.
