New exhibition by Sweden's Pär Strömberg
The latest collection from Sweden's Pär Strömberg, entitled Come Twilight, Come Dark Night, coincides with the southern winter solstice. The Come Twilight, Come Dark Night exhibition will be held at Gotham Studios, in Northbridge, from Sunday 1st June, 2014 until Monday, 30th June, 2014.
Proudly brought to you by the City of Perth and Gotham Studios, and as part of the Winter Arts Festival 2014, this exhibition forms part of a winter exhibition program at Gotham Studios' Peek-a-Boo window gallery.
This stunning collection of drawings and prints form a diary of events, originally planned as a hard-bound book. Each individual piece of work in this series, including lithographs and original drawings, depict shadowy winter landscapes.
Award winning artist Pär Strömberg brings his art to Australia, for the very first time, in this solo series exhibition, Come Twilight, Come Dark Night. This exhibition has been described, by art critics, as a mixture of anti-cosmic ideas and chaos theories within the popular underground culture of Scandinavian black metal, which takes inspiration from light and darkness, situated in mental and physical landscapes and a subconscious symbolism that acts as an incantation to make darkness visible.
All pieces of artwork in the Come Twilight, Come Dark Night exhibition are for sale.
