is a program of events that celebrates SA's leading role in gay law reform. 40 years ago Don Dunstan's government led the nation by introducing reforms that decriminalised homosexual behaviour. This milestone is being celebrated with activities and events in South Australia organised by the Committee to Commemorate Gay Law Reform - Ian Purcell, Tim Reeves and Will Sergeant.
Some
events have been initiated by other people or organisations, but all have the common theme of gay law reform. More events are being added to the program so be sure to check the
page in the
15th Australia's Homosexual Histories Conference website.
September 10
Hear the Commemorative Speeches by Premier Jay Weatherill and Leader of the Opposition Steven Marshall at Parliament House.
September 11
Leading Australian jurist the Hon Michael Kirby AC, CMG will unveil a memorial to Dr George Duncan in the University of Adelaide Law School, where Dr Duncan once worked.

Come to hear
Dr Duncan Revisited , a revealing talk by Tim Reeves with new material about the life of Dr Duncan. A free event, but advance bookings are essential.

Forty Years On: The State of LGBTIQ Rights?
Take part in a community forum with Senator Penny Wong at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, George St, Thebarton. Organised by the Gay and Lesbian Health Alliance - a free event.
Tuesday October 27 (6.00 for 6.30pm)
From Camp to Queer is a forum with seven activists from different eras, chaired by Ian Purcell and held in the Hetzel Lecture Theatre, Institute Building, State Library. Please RSVP by 24 Oct to

Thursday November 12
Adelaide's Lord Mayor will host a Reception at the Adelaide Town Hal for delegates to the 15th Australia's Homosexual Histories Conferencel.

See Adelaide Town Hall's facade lit by rainbow coloured lights with the rainbow flag flying. Free event.
November 13-14
From Outlaws to In-Laws? is the theme of the
15th Australia's Homosexual Histories Conference at the UniSA, City West Campus in,Adelaide in association with Feast Festival 2015.

Narratives, Images, Queers and Asylum Seekers: What do Australia's stories tell us? A public lecture by Professor Nan Seuffert at UniSA, City West Campus, Yungondi Building, North Terrace, Adelaide. A Remembering Dunstan Project. Free event.
Saturday November 14 (from 5.30pm)
Join the
Marching Dunstans group on the Pride March in their safari suits or pink shorts, as originally worn by Premier Don Dunstan. Meet in Victoria Square, details on the Marching Dunstans 2015

To the Barricades! Take a Queer History Walk with Dr Gertrude Glossip. Meet in the forecourt of the SAHMRI building, North Terrace (opposite UniSA City West Campus). $18 or $15 concession. Bookings through Feast Festival or pay on the day.
Sunday November 29 (5pm)
Stephen Fry in Adelaide for One Evening Only at the Festival Theatre. Presented by the Don Dunstan Foundation in association with the Adelaide Festival Centre. Bookings at BASS.
