The Adelaide Kite Flyers Association (AKFA) is holding a Free Come and Try Kite Flying day during the school holidays.

Bring the whole family down and give it a try. Spring is known for being windy - it'll be perfect to get those kites in the air and to learn some tricks from the masters.

AKFA are the group who organise the hugely popular Kite Festival in Semaphore each year. At this free event, you'll see and learn how to build and/or fly (depending on the weather):

Small single-line display kites
Large inflatable display kites
Various types of stunt kites and power kites.

You are welcome to bring your own kites, or there will be kites available for purchase - kites make a great Christmas present!

The event on 12th October is being run as part of the Every Generation Festival and coincides with World Kite Flying Day.
