Three days before ANZAC day, Memorial Park, Armadale will come alive with the sound of music. More than 350 children from local schools will come together with one voice to commemorate those who have served our country in the armed forces.

For over 20 years music specialists in the local area come together yearly to coordinate and present the Dale Fests; opportunities for schools to come together in song (both with a singing item of their own and a number of songs that all students sing in massed voice). This year they pay tribute to those who served in the armed forces celebrating 100 years of ANZAC.

With a great deal of behind the scenes organising, the group of dedicated teachers has crafted an event with many wonderful songs to be performed.

The event held in partnership with the Armadale Sub Branch of the RSL, supported by the Armadale City Council incorporates a traditional ANZAC Service. This will give an opportunity for schools to pay their respects with a wreath laying ceremony and the observation of the minute silence.

Stories to Remember Them

Former City of Armadale Mayor Linton Reynolds will compere the event and has brought together stories of local servicemen, as well as the bigger picture of World War One and the ANZACS. The result is sure to be a special and memorable event that brings awareness and respect of the actions and lives of the diggers.
