Under the guidance of trainer Mannie de Matos, these cardio workout sessions will see participants team up with a partner and take part in a specially designed exercise program incorporating aerobic, boxing and marital arts routines.
Participants will be fitted with boxing gloves and will use focus pads, round shields, dumbbells and skipping ropes during the one hour fitness workout sessions.
Cardio Boxing is a high energy fitness workout but it is also results driven. It is particularly ideal for those who wish to get into shape, as cardio boxing can help strengthen, sculpt and tone muscles. Health benefits include improved blood circulation, lower blood pressure and improved mental health, as stress levels can dramatically reduce.
These workout sessions are designed to be fun and are taught in a friendly and encouraging environment. All are welcome to attend with friends and family members, and if you don't have a partner, you will be matched with a participant of the same fitness level at the session.
Wear comfortable clothing, such as tracksuit pants or shorts, t-shirt and trainers. Tights and leggings can be worn also if desired. All who attend a session should bring their own towel and water bottle.
All training equipment will be provided but for hygiene and comfort, participants may wish to bring their own gloves and focus pads.
Fitness/skill level required:
No previous experience is necessary as the program has been designed to take into account all fitness levels.
All one hour sessions are held at a new gym, located at 7/150 Beechboro Road, Bayswater and are held three times a week: Monday 6:00pm, Wednesday 6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am.
