Colour My World (something old, something new) Official Opening

Not all of us can be artists expressing ourselves through music, painting, sculptures and more, but we can appreciate the beauty in all these things by attending events showcasing our favourite desires and ideas.

On Saturday 11th September 2021, member of the Royal Queensland Art Society (RQAS) is holding the fourth exhibition to be held at the Petrie Terrace Gallery for Glen Gillard , entitled " My World with Something Old, Something New ".

The title of the exhibition is derived from the colour in life of old and new things. During the lockdown in early 2020, Glen's garden surrounding his studio gave him no excuses than to sit down and express himself on the canvas. The exhibition will showcase some older work, which has not been shown before, yet consisting of pastels and drawings of RQAS identities and other characters. There will also be a collection of recent flower pieces, mainly roses captured in beautiful objects, antique vases and props.

For those who love landscapes, buildings and portraits, Glen has included a variety of scenes in oils, watercolour and gouache.

This is an exhibition not to be missed. Although the exhibition is free to attend, you need to register through Eventbrite, so numbers are known. The address is the Royal Queensland Art Society, 162 Petrie Terrace #3 , Brisbane City.
