Painting at home means anytime, even in the witching hours
Do you go through real klutzy periods? You know, when you kick your toe on a door frame, drop a wine glass on the kitchen floor, or smash some of your dinner set whilst washing up.? Well, July has been my Klutz Month, with a tally of three teacups now in the bin.
Although my dinner set is not old, despite numerous internet searches, it is currently not in stock. Anywhere. And if there's anything I detest, it's mismatched tableware!
Colour My Pot, the paint your own pottery studio at 39 Middle St, Cleveland, has solved my teacup quandary, at least temporarily. I know I've shared my visits here previously, but now Colour My Pot have expanded so that you can paint at home at your own pace and at your leisure.
Yes, C.M.P now has kits for painting at home which include 3 paints of your choice, assorted brushes, plate for pallet, cloth, sponge, water cup and instructions. This resolves my teacup issue. I have purchased a kit for $20 and purchased the replacement ceramic cups separately. Once I have painted them, I will take them back to C.M.P for firing in the kiln and collect them some 7 to 10 days later.
What a wonderful idea if you are having friends over for drinks or are looking to entertain the kiddies. Or if you have a friend confined to the house due to illness. C.M.P have a delightful range of ceramics to keep everybody entertained and busy.
