Bring some colour into your life this October
Is plain old running just too boring for you now? Need some more colour in your life? Boy, did you come to the right place. The Color Run (That's right, no 'u' in colour) is coming to the Sunshine Coast in October. It's all going down at Stockland Park on Sunday October 13.

Chance are you've heard of this one. The Color Run is a unique paint race designed to celebrate healthiness, happiness and individuality. It's a five km, untimed run/walk that douses participants head to toe in different colours. Yep, they actually throw coloured powered at you! You've only got to look at the photo gallery on the official Facebook page or the YouTube account to know exactly what you're in for. According to the Coast map there will be a colour station every kilometre - blue, yellow, orange and pink.
As the name might suggest, this isn't an Aussie born-and-bred idea. The Color Run first took place in Phoenix, Arizona in January 2012. Since then it's been held in more than 130 cities across the United States, South America, Europe and Australia. It's soon to expand into countries in Europe and Asia. At least one million people are expected to participate in these kind of events this year alone!
Here's a bit of a schedule to help you get in shape for the day!
Not only are you going to have a blast but you're going to raise money for charity in the process. The Sunshine Coast Color Run has teamed with Celebrate Life Foundation and SunnyKids. You can fundraise for more money or make extra donation here.
Sign up now! You won't want to miss this one. Remember to wear a white shirt on the day and prepare to bring some colour into your life.
