The most colorful 5k race Adelaide has ever seen
Color Me Rad is an event like no other. Hinting at influences from the Indian Holi festival this race is all about fun, color and lots of it. You just have to read the website to get a feel for the colorful, fun loving excitement this event will evoke in everyone that participates.
The fun, excitement and color of Color Me Rad 5k
The Adelaide event is happening on 22 November 2014 in Bonython Park. The course twists and turns through the park and at different sections of the 5km track you will be bombarded with an explosion of color - blue, green, pink, purple and yellow. The powders used are non toxic and non rash. A powdered color that they guarantee will wash out (eventually) in water.
This is a for-profit event but a proportion of the takings go to a nominated local charity. You have to register to participate and registration closes 19 November 2014. Everyone is encouraged to pick up their Rad pack before that day to be well prepared. The registration pack includes a race bib, t-shirt, sunglasses and tattoo.

On the day there will be three starting waves. Either 9am, 9.20am or 9.40am. Walk, run, jog or anything in between to get around the course and have fun. Any age is welcome although participants under 18 need to have a waiver signed by their guardian or parent.
The website for the event here has lots of information for you including FAQs and is a great read to get you enthused to participate.

If you'd rather participate by being a volunteer the organisers are keen to hear from you. You'll need to be over 16 years to be a volunteer at the event.
5k of fun, color and sheer silliness for a good cause sounds like a whole lot of good time to me.
