is a celebration of 100 years of the suburb known as Colonel Light Gardens (CLG). Colonel Light Gardens is a well-planned garden suburb.



From 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, 4th December 2021, there are a range of entertainment and activities for all ages.

Listen and be entertained by the live four-piece jazz band whilst enjoying light refreshments, such as a sandwich or afternoon tea provided by the RSL and the bar will be open for adults. Tables and chairs under umbrellas will be provided for your comfort.

Participate in the history-based quizzes with four $50 local cafe vouchers to be won. Children won't be left out as there will be a kids' quiz with prizes for everyone. As well as raffles.

Go back into time with historical films from the 1950s and 1980s. Learn more about CLG with talks on the history of the suburb, bookstalls by local historians and a display of 1920s pictures of the suburb.



Mitcham Council or Heritage SA representatives will be on hand to answer your questions on the Heritage Standards (Colonel Light Gardens State Heritage Area) and how they apply to renovations or new builds in the suburb.

The Colonel Light Gardens Residents' Association has received a generous grant from the City of Mitcham to hold the . This grant was matched by volunteer hours by the Colonel Light Gardens Residents' Association.
