On Friday the 15th and Saturday the 23rd of July, come and enjoy the mixture of colors, the rhythm of dancing, the sensuality of costumes and the freedom of a people. The Colombian Festival has arrived.

The essence of Colombian culture lies in the mixing of Spanish, indigenous, and African cultures. The greatest expression of the mélange is perhaps is in their 'carnales' whose rhythm is the cherry on the top, and which was proclaimed by UNESCO in November 2003 as one of the 'Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity''

Last year's Colombian festival experienced arguably one of the most successful events in its history. In fact, 2010 COLOMBIAN FESTIVAL generated several upbeat observations from festival experts. Along with the terrific success of previous years, this year will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in Brisbane. After 10 years of practice, it is almost guaranteed that this year's rumba will be out of this world!

The rumba consists of two days full of surprises. Friday, 15th of July from 6pm to 5am a Colombian, will hold what some like to call 'party marathon'. Bring your Colombian hat and witness the best live entertainment: Colombian All stars band with La Gran Salsa, Euphoria Latin Dance Group hailed from Colombia, Dj Alejandro and Dj El Kin. At the end of the party there will be a 'Guasca ' music for the 'borrachos' until the wee hours of the morning!

On Saturday 23 July we are celebrating the expected COLOMBIAN FOOD FEST with a ray of the best Colombian dishes accompanied with the best live entertainment: Colombian Dancing Group, Euphoria Dancing Group, Tupac Amaru and workshops for every one.
