Not many of us have the privilege of being invited to the Queen's Birthday Party (most of us know that it isn't her actual birthday anyway), but there's no reason why we can't all celebrate by attending the local Collectors Treasure and Trash Fair which will be held on the 9th and the 10th June 2013 at the Olinda Hall.
This is an ideal time to take a trip up into the hills and the fairs which are regularly held in the Hills are renowned for some rather spectacular finds and bargains. People visit from many parts of Victoria and some travel down from interstate - the reputation of the Hills hospitality is well known and regarded. The beautiful autumn time in the Dandenongs can still be appreciated and visitors should take time to stay for lunch or afternoon tea at one of the many local eateries.
This year 13 local sellers will be gathered together in the one place to show their wares. Many special items at reasonable prices. Books, stamps, cards, tools, toys, jewellery, bric a brac, antiques, ephemera.
Similar items to those photographed in this post, will be found at this year's Treasure & Trash Fair at Olinda.
