Brisbane Living Heritage is an organisation which promotes heritage places and museums and organises events to promote heritage and history in Brisbane. It is a very good way to be well informed about some heritage sights and to hear the stories behind them. This particular event which is coming up is a real " treasure". Some of my favourite museums in Brisbane are on the St Lucia Campus and I am lucky enough to visit them quite frequently, but for those of you who may be unfamiliar with the campus, this is a brilliant opportunity to acquaint yourself with the many museums there which have valuable collections. On this occasion, you will join a guided walk to the Fryer Library, the Art Museum, the Antiquities Museum and the Anthropology Museum, where experts from each museum will introduce you to some of the works, artefacts and items on display.
I am particularly familiar with the Anthropological Museum and the R.N Milns Archaeological Museum and here are some of the amazing displays I have caught in the past.
We are very lucky to have an organisation which is dedicated to sharing Brisbane's rich culture with all of us, so I would not hesitate to recommend booking for this event.
