Circular Quay isn't known for backyards or for camping, but the outdoor lifestyle will be its focus on Saturday November 29, when Coleman Australia hosts its first ever Big Backyard Day camping festival.
The event is being held in conjunction with Coleman's National Backyard Camp Out event, which encourages Australians to have a go at camping by trying it in their own backyard. The camp out is in its third year and will take place on the same date as the festival.
At Circular Quay's Big Backyard Day, you will find glamping demonstrations, food trucks (Eat Art Truck,Tsuru, Urban Pasta, Cantina Movil and Lil' Groovers Lemonade) and cooking demonstrations. Peter 'Spida' Everitt (an ex-AFL player who is now a radio and TV presenter) and Escape with ET's Andrew Ettingshausen will also be there, showing off their own cooking skills.
The event will not be without typical festival entertainment either. It will include live performances from bands and magicians. Peppa Pig will also be roaming around on the day for meet and greets. A schedule of these activities can be found here.
