If you are a fitness enthusiast, there is outdoor exercise equipment that you can use for free. A resident, Dimitri Kondilis, first approached the Regional Rockhampton Council with the idea, of making you able to get fit with Fitzroy River as a view. A cross-trainer, a rotation machine, a sit-up bench, and a hydraulic chest press can be added to your usual exercise repertoire. The walking path around this park also has been a favourite place for a nice stroll on a nice day.

This site was the original burial ground and was deemed unsuitable and closed before it moved to South Rockhampton Cemetery, also known as Rockhampton General Cemetery.
