Lovely park with lovely animals
Contrary to its name, Cohunu is more than just a park for koalas! The park is home to a large array of animals including donkeys, dingos, echidnas and geese to name a few.

The family-run park was originally opened in the early 1970s in Gosnells. The park has since relocated to Byford and is thriving!

Personally, I enjoyed the interactive aspect of this park and loved that we could go in the enclosures with the animals. They sell bags of popcorn at the front door, primarily to feed the animals but it also doubles as a safe snack for your little ones if they decide to eat it!

The park offers a small variety of activities such as holding the koalas and riding the park's train, which runs through the majority of the grounds.

I found the animals to be well tempered and well cared for. My favourite enclosure was the wallabies and kangaroos - they are all adorable! We all had a laugh when we visited the park's "weight loss centre" which houses all of the over-weight animals!

The park also opens to educational groups and is perfect for school visits! The family running the park are lovely and give the park a very relaxed vibe.

It is the perfect day out and our group, ranging from ages five to forty-five, thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
