Ducking out of the blustery weather, I found the perfect retreat. They even read my mind: there were newspapers neatly laid out on the tables, just waiting for a reader and sipper to enjoy them.
There was a beautiful array of food to choose from in the polished glass cabinets. With only a short time to linger, I decided to devote this visit to enjoying a cappuccino over the newspaper.
Healthy ... or danish?
While my coffee was being made, I peered in the glass cases and pondered what choices I might make next visit.
It was difficult to decide.
I admit to being quite partial to two opposite extremes: healthy, nurturing yoghurt and tastebud-indulgent Nutella. The honey Greek yoghurt with granola and berries and Nutella Danish featuring on the Facebook page caught my attention.
Recently opened in September 2017, has won the hearts of its local community with solid five star reviews. Their aim is to provide good coffee and food using lots of fresh local produce.
The coffee was good. The food looks delicious. I will certainly be back for a longer visit when the skies are blue, to sample the outdoor ambience and appealing treats.
A Repeat Visit
Shortly after the blustery day solo stop, I was out early and able to call in at for breakfast. The Yoghurt Cups were available and beckoned invitingly. My breakfast partner chose a warm croissant with ham and cheese.
In spite of opening at 7.00am, there were not a lot of breakfast choices. The weather was fine and we sat outside in an area enclosed with planter boxes.
The coffee was a delicious warming start to the day. We enjoyed our food and the early opening time that let us have a leisurely breakfast with the morning paper, all before the shops opened!
