Where will I meet you?
Hubby was craving eggs benedict for Father's Day so we decided to stay local and visit Coffee Club at Aspley. Arriving sans booking was not a good idea on such a popular day, however we were soon accommodated and presented with menus.
The kids were dithering with meal choices so we ordered our drinks and hoped it wouldn't be too long before decisions were made. My chai latte had good flavour however both drinks could have been hotter.

The range of eggs benedict was impressive - everything from traditional with ham or smoked salmon and spinach, to the quirky BBQ pulled pork and spinach. After deliberations, we both chose the bacon option. Oh well, no need to worry about sharing (of which I am not a fan!). One boy wanted kids pancakes without cream or ice-cream. Weird I know, but the waiter assured us it was no trouble with just maple syrup. The other child chose a cheeseburger and chips. Not my idea of breakfast fare but it was part of the kid's menu along with the usual egg on toast or pancakes.
Our orders were quick to arrive given how busy it was. The amount of bacon with the eggs benedict was generous and the eggs were slightly runny. Overall pretty tasty. There were two pancakes in the kids serve. I thought three would have been better as Mr Seven polished off two fairly quickly. The cheeseburger came with chips and was described as OK.
As a Father's Day gift we were given a voucher for a free main meal. Perhaps we will go back and use it during the Italian month promotion that runs until at least the end of September at both the Aspley and Strathpine locations. Will I meet you there?
