Coffee is better with great beach front seating
What better way to start your day up at the Sunshine Coast, than a lovely stroll along the beach front and then stopping and having a great cup of coffee and breakfast.

Coffee Cat on Kings Beach is just the spot to enjoy your morning fuel with uninterrupted views of the beach and ocean. A buzzing little place positioned along the walkway and provides great views of Kings Beach.

Waterfront dining

We scored just the perfect table with no other tables blocking our views. I would suggest that calling and reserving a table would guarantee a good table as it was very busy, especially on the weekend.

Beautiful views

Kings Beach on the Sunshine Coast is close to Caloundra and is a great place for a weekend away or just a day trip up from Brisbane. It is about an hour from Brisbane.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here. I was torn between my 'usual' breakfast of smashed avo on toast with eggs or the Corn Fritters. I decided to lash out and ordered the Corn Fritters (Herbed corn and zucchini choux fritters with a zucchini and goat cheese salad with honey and poppy seed dressing - $19).

My friends went for the Mushroom Wrap (Crumbed field mushroom with rocket, pesto, halloumi and hash brown in a fresh tortilla wrap -$15).

and the Mushroom Bruschetta, which was mixed fried mushrooms on ciabatta and pine nuts with rocket, thyme and a poached egg for $15)

This was accompanied by a good strong cappuccino and lots of laughter.

Coffee Cat is opened every day for breakfast and lunch with late night dining on Friday and Saturday nights with live music. Their menu was quite extensive with beer, wine and cocktails for afternoon happy hours on Friday and Saturday nights.

The atmosphere was very casual and the service was friendly and food and coffee served very quickly despite it appearing quite busy.

Outdoor relaxed atmosphere

We were very satisfied and had enough fuel to allow us to enjoy the rest of our day up on the Sunny coast.
