Josh, owner and designer of Coffee Branch, can't help it if he has good taste, vision and the respect for coffee that it deserves as a substance most people base their day on. He also can't help it if that combination attracts the young, wealthy and fashion conscious.
Josh took a space that was a storage room and transmuted it into a light, welcoming shop that not only honours his original vision, but is also a triumph of interior design. Everything in the place from the floor to ceiling windows, the road bikes on the walls, the stools, the outdoor furniture to the hand made sugar pots reflects a sense of style that is unpretentious because it is innate. Josh and all his staff are not pretending, they like to ride, to provide good people with quality interaction and enjoy eating and producing consummate coffee and snacks.
The food that was not invented in house is supplied by a local business, From Scratch. Their grasp of flavours is exceptional and carries through the theme of high class that is firmly established by the Columbian coffee from Five Senses.
The whole place has been instilled with a gentlemanly charm that begins with a warm greeting. Go in more than once and they will remember your name. Eventually you will just feel like you have walked into a friend's house, this encourages conversation between the patrons, which engenders a sense of community that is unique to the Adelaide city.
