Hey caffeine fans! The 6th annual Coffee and Tea Festival is coming to New York City and all are welcome. For the two day event, from February 19 to 20, 2011, you can experience classes, demonstrations, lectures and much
more. For the first time, there will also be The Ultimate Barista Challenge®. In a city full of baristas, do you have what it takes to compete and win?
The event is open to the public and the trade and is an exciting experience for all coffee and tea fans. In attendance will be well-known professionals from the industry that are lending their expertise to anyone that wants to brush up on their skills and knowledge. The Coffee and Tea Festival is an opportunity for coffee and tea aficionados to discover new types of the beverages to add to their collections.
Some of the programs over the two days include learning about the basics of tea, experiencing a Korean tea ceremony demonstration and becoming more familiar with having afternoon tea. For those that like a little kick with their coffee or tea, there is a presentation on Tea Cocktails. There will also be treats and chocolate, which as you know, goes quite well with coffee and tea.
On February 19, after the festival from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., there is a Chinese Tea & Tradition event, which consists of a lecture and a tasting. There are only 100 tickets available for the public, so rush to get them if you're interested in the special event. Each ticket is $43.55 (including tax) but includes admission to the festival during the day.
