Flowers, Gifts and Coffee
If flowers are our greatest silent friends, then you are in good company at Coddle and Co - a florist shop, kitchen and gift store located in suburban Woolowin, 8 kms from the CBD
I must confess that spring is my favourite time of year, when flowers peep out from the cold and make any day bright. With this mind, I went in search for some floral magic and found a suburban shop to indulge the senses – a shop that combines, flowers, coffee and gifts for you or someone special.
Coddle and Co is the brainchild of mother and daughter team Julie and Meg who specialise in creating wonderful arrangements of flowers for that special occasion, a way to send a message to someone important or just because. Add to that a range of gift, homewares and simple bites to eat and you have Coddle and Co.
Beautiful Blooms While it is mixed use, flowers are the main game at Coddle and Co. Arrangements can't help but look precious and are sweetly named with enticing titles, including peppermint candy, vintage violet, meadow and golden. Check out the Coddle and Co website for a product list and pricing schedule to send a bunch, send a plant or send a present.
I can't think of a better accompaniment to flowers than a lovely cup of tea or coffee and a delectable, sweet treat. After stopping to smell the roses, visitors are invited to sample the treats at Coddle and Co's small kitchen which serves up sandwiches, salads, paninis, wraps and homemade luxe cakes, slices and biscuits. Di Bella coffee is the brew of choice.

These treats sit well beside the prettiness of the bouquets. The chandelier in the kitchen gives a touch of elegance. A Coffee Window facing the street makes walking past, ordering and grabbing a coffee very easy indeed. This is a clever feature. A small amount of outdoor seating is available with shade provided by black umbrellas. Oh and there's a large doggy water bowl for pup too.
After the challenge of leaving the flowers, I wandered over to the gifts section to find sensual, indulgent body products (soaps, bath salts), visual delights jewellery, a children's range, homewares, photo frames, coffee mugs.
The site where Coddle and Co has a history of being a flower shop under past ownership as Woolowin Flower Market It resembles a corner, cottage located in Kedron Brook Road. The exterior of the cottage-style shop is charcoal with white trimmings and I even spotted a couple of window boxes. Street parking is available in Kedron Brook Road and adjoining streets. Coddle and Co is well positioned to bring some spring blooms into your day.
