If you're looking for a tropical escape, but don't want to spend a thousand bucks funding such a trip, then why not get a near-equivalent fix at North Adelaide's newest cafe - ? Opened in late September 2018, the cafe has quickly gained popularity over their dishes, which are not only kind on the eyes, but also your palate!

It's in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it spot along the busy O'Connell Street, but take a moment to admire the beauty of this quaint little space and you won't stop being surprised by what has on offer.

Owned by Sithara Rajakaruna, who is also the Head Chef of the cafe, every single dish on the menu is a serious eye-pleaser, not to mention that it delivers in its fresh and unique flavours. Holding true to her Sri Lankan heritage, a lot of options on the menu bring the authentic flavours of coconut and roti that are intertwined with yoghurt, milk, and other known ingredients that will make you get a taste in your meals that's unlike any other.

With a cosy indoor seating and a relaxed outdoor seating, can house up to 70 people at a time and has 12 staff members, so you can be rest assured that you'll be in good hands and taken care of, by their hospitable staff. Given its rising popularity though, you may want to get in early, as the cafe gets busy within the first couple of hours of them opening for the day.

A fiend for anything sweet, my personal favourites on the menu include the Nutella Lovers, the Coco Nut Goodness, the Will You Berry Me? (a new item on the menu) for food, and the Espress Yourself and the Refresher for drinks.

A strong contender for chocolate (and Nutella) lovers everywhere, the Nutella Lovers ($16.9) brings the beautiful mix of French toast and churros that are surrounded by chocolate shavings, Nutella grenache, fresh fruit, chocolate soil, and a generous scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Decorated in edible flowers, this dish will not only satisfy your taste buds but also give you a (understandably serious) high from the sweetness of all the ingredients combined together. If I could imagine what unicorns would eat, it would most probably have to be the Nutella Lovers, given its impeccable presentation and taste!

Next up is what I'd like to think of, as the quintessential Sri Lankan - Australian hybrid of a dish - the Coco Nut Goodness ($17.9). Packed with an impressive mix of ingredients, this dish comes in a gigantic plate, with a coconut as the centrepiece, which is adorned with gold flakes-decorated coconut taiyaki waffles, fresh seasonal fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, passionfruit, and kiwis, whipped cream, and ice cream. While you may be unsure on where to begin, you won't want to stop, once you start devouring this exquisite piece of culinary art.

One of the newest items on the menu is the Will You Berry Me? ($14.9) - a mixed berry bircher muesli dish that takes it up a notch with their bold combination of spiced organic red wine poached pear, seasonal fruits (kiwi, strawberries, raspberries), and Almond milk foam. A relatively healthier option (compared to the other two sweet options), this dish wasn't something that I would have typically picked on any other day. However, upon feeling intrigued by the poached pear, I think it's safe to say that this will be a recurring order, given how it's not only refreshing with the fruits, but also tingles your taste buds with the unique taste of the poached pear and the almond milk foam.

For drinks, I couldn't go past the Refresher ($6.9), which is just as its name suggests - refreshing! Simply put, you get a whole coconut full of delicious coconut juice and it is the single best thing I consumed on a particularly hot summer day where the temperature soared above 38 degrees celsius!

We also had the Espress Yourself ($8.5), which is a coffee-based drink that is infused with the summer-friendly flavours of dates, walnuts, cinnamon, honey, coconut oil, and coconut milk, and topped with a shot of espresso. This was a strong caffeine-laced drink and will give you the much-needed kick to face the rest of the day.

Whether you're looking for a new spot to froth over, want to enjoy breakfast, brunch, and / or lunch options that might as well be classified as gastronomic pieces of art, or are looking to revamp your ability to enjoy healthy food that simultaneously looks eye-catching and pretty like a(n Instagram) picture, then head over to North Adelaide and suss out the many yummy options served at . Expect to enjoy a change in the menu with the change in seasons, so you can be rest assured that there will always be something interesting, new, and drop-dead gorgeous to try!

I've set a personal challenge to try a range of their savoury options upon my next visit - see you there?
