In life I have one perpetual goal, this goal might seem small in comparison to many of my others but that goal is to find the very best white hot chocolate in Adelaide. I believe I have managed to achieve this goal through the lovely dessert cafe Cocolat. In the heart of Adelaide, amongst the hustle and bustle of Rundle Street is the charming Cocolat. Now many friends of mine had mentioned Cocolat, in fact, I even had a friend try to take me there late one night after dinner, however it had closed by the time we'd gotten there.
It was always described to me as a chocoholics heaven, a sanctuary for those with the sweetest of sweet tooths. From the reactions of others, I can definitely say it sends choc-lovers into a swooning frenzy. I myself am not a massive chocolate fan. I will eat small amounts but my taste buds cannot handle being overwhelmed by the rich cocoa-goodness that others love so dearly.
Because I don't have an enormous sweet tooth, I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, let me just get this straight out there. I will not eat a ham and cheese croissant from anywhere else now. Everything about this croissant was divine and had me salivating just from the seer look of it. It was prepared to perfection.
Now whilst the Croissant is to die for my main focus should be on the white hot chocolate. I'm not very fond of drinking hot drinks. Of course I'm still a part of the sane folk in the world that love hot chocolates or lattes but it's not very often that I'll have a hot drink. It's been a long time since I tried my very first white hot chocolate from Hudson's on the corner of Hinley St, but I can still remember having both my mind and taste buds completely blown by the sweetness of their delicious drink. Since that day whenever I can get a white hot chocolate, I'll get one and I'll try them at any place that makes them. Cocolat's is definitely taking the gold on this one.
Cocolat has a variety of hot and cold drinks along with a large variety of chocolate indulging goodies. If you're not huge on chocolate like me, don't worry they have other options. Also who could forget the gelato!. I'd say grab some girlfriends or maybe even a date and head over to Cocolat pronto. They're open from 10am till late every night and I can promise you won't be disappointed!.
