Perfectly positioned in the centre, eastern side, of the High Street Northcote eating and entertainment precinct, this café is all class.

The first thing you notice about this eatery is its size. Considerably larger than your average café, it offers three levels of dining, from al fresco on street level, to the more relaxed ground level inside the front door. Venture up the ramp way and you're in the classy upper level, which is really rather well appointed. Many tables across all three levels means it has to be ultra busy for you to miss out on a seat.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and generally attend very quickly to your whims and desires.

The menu is extremely comprehensive, and covers dining at any time of day. Treat yourself to an early morning breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs or a delicious and very filling omelette. For lunch, try the sensational roast pumpkin or any of the other foccacias, there's a very wide range. There are no less than seven varieties of salads on offer, if this is more to your liking. The dinner menu has a bit of everything, from a big juicy Rib Eye, to a Moussaka or a tasty burger. There's also a very broad selection of pastas and risottos. Something to tempt the taste buds of just about anyone, including vegetarians.

If all that was not enough, they have a great selection of tapas, which is available any time of the day.

Special mention must be given to Coco Inc's coffee. These guys have a widespread reputation for excellence in this area, and in a city of ridiculously high standards, their brews stand out from the crowd. Always fresh, always rich and full bodied, never watery, too milky or too weak. Their reputation is well deserved.

And if their extensive food menu and excellent coffee wasn't enough, Coco Inc also boasts a mouth watering array of specialist chocolates and incredible cakes, most of which are apparently made on the premises. Sweet tooths rejoice! (Or should that be sweet teeth?)

High Street Northcote has gained a very positive reputation in Melbourne in the last ten years for its eateries and live entertainment, and Coco Inc is a major part of that. It's very well worth checking out for a relaxed but classy café experience, any time of day.
