We're sad to report that the Kings Cross Coco Cubano has closed. Darlinghurst & Paramatta locations are still open.

Coco Cubano have three locations all over Sydney, but if you walked into their Kings Cross bar you'd have no idea they were a franchise. The casual seating, funky but laid back music, and Cuban flag draped from the ceiling, all do well to convince you that you've stepped into a bar in Havana rather than Kings Cross. Coco Cubano captures the feel of Cuba in an instance, and this is only made better by cocktails and tasty food that is there for enjoying.

Visiting Coco Cubano without having at least one cocktail really does feel like a waste. Their menu may not be as big as some places, but for $8-$9 you can choose from mojitos, daiquiris, martinis, margaritas, and more. Of course the Cuban mojito should be the drink of choice, and Coco Cubano have a host of flavours you can choose from, including: passionfruit, lychee, raspberry, mango, cranberry, strawberry, and coconut. This fresh and tasty cocktail really helps highlight the tastes of Cuba. You can also choose from a list of wines or beers, and if you're not after something hard then they have a good coffee selection.

Breakfast is simple and laid back, toast and toppings, wraps, or croissants. Likewise lunch is filled with your usual wraps, burgers, and sandwiches. The tapas menu to accompany your evening cocktails is filled with some very tasty numbers. Try some nachos, or chorizo and warm olives. Or you could indulge with chocolate brownies, waffles, or a chocolate pot of melted couverture chocolate. If it is chocolate you are after, then Coco Cubano also have a selection of tasty bite sized chocolates filled with flavour.

There is such a laid back vibe at Coco Cubano, not only from the atmosphere, If you like you can pull up a sofa and work on your laptop using free wifi while you sip your coffee. Otherwise, why not grab one of the chess boards of dominos sets and have a game while you drink. There are even books lining the shelves, that you can pick up and read if you'd like. It is the perfect place to meet friends, or to just enjoy alone.

If you're looking for Coco Cubano just head to Kings Cross station, take the Darlinghurst exit, and turn left. As they put it, "we open early, and we stay open 'til late" so head there anytime for a feed or a drink, and soak up the atmosphere of Cuba.
