It's that time again, and this time, there is a theme. The
Cockburn Rotary Spring Fair is a well-known and family-friendly event at Manning Park. This spring fair is Halloween-themed!
Of course, this fair is going to be held on October 31st. After all, when else would you hold a Halloween-themed Spring Fair? As always, there will be roving entertainment on the day, but there will also be a sideshow alley, rides, games and some entertainment at the FROSH Youth Festival.
Some of the entertainment involved in this year's Rotary Fair are Dave Brewer and the Doodaddies, who are a local Chicago-style blues band. For teens aged between 13 and 15, the comedy hypnotist Matt Hale at 3pm will be winning over crowds, and for adults, he will be entertaining at 5.30pm. For the youth show, anyone who wants to attend must have parental permission. This is a show that requires open minds and a willingness to participate. All-day, the Ricochet Circus will be hosting a day of fun at the circus tent. Workshops throughout the day give everyone the chance to try their hand at certain circus skills. There will also be circus performances throughout the day as well.
There will be many stalls selling homemade goodies, treats and gifts for you to peruse. Multiple foods available on the grounds are almost too good to be true, or you can bring your own for a picnic.
At 7:30pm, there are fireworks scheduled. That is of course, as long as the weather is kind. This is a free event, thanks to the City of Cockburn at Manning Park. Gates open at 11am and the fireworks show will finish at approximately 8pm. Bring your friends and family along to have a great time out. And as it is Halloween-themed, why not dress up as your favourite Halloween character and have a great time out?
