The Cockatoo Country Market is in a small town surrounded by the Dandenong Ranges, just over a 1-hour drive south-east of Melbourne. Most people will know Cockatoo has one of the worst-hit townships during the 1983 Ash Wednesday Bushfires, where many buildings were destroyed. But this residential town is all about helping the community recapture this beautiful place they call home.
Wandering around the Cockatoo Country Market, you will find that it is a family-friendly atmosphere with unique and beautiful handmade products, such as resin art by Trish Rist Designs, Organic Dairy Products from Tarago Valley, baby and children's educational, decorative and clothing items by SuBu, high quality candles & soap by Shojo, handmade leather handbags and accessories by Earth Five Leatherworks, pure honey by Bee Calm & Buzz On Honey to name a few. The stallholders are interesting and happy to tell their story and are obliging to help you make that special purchase.

The monthly market is open at 8.30am-1.30pm on the 1st Saturday of each month except January and the Twilight markets are open from 3pm – 8pm in March and December only. Please check their Facebook page for the actual date. In the event of days of extreme weather and fire warnings the market will be cancelled, so it may be worth checking this information before you visit.
