Pull in on your pedals and see a movie under the stars
This February a ride-in cinema is popping up at the Coburg Velodrome. Yes you read right, and no it's not a mistake, it is indeed a ride-in cinema, not a drive-in cinema.

The Coburg Velodrome Ride-In Cinema is Australia's only outdoor cinema designed specifically to encourage its audience to ride their bikes literally right into the movies.

The venue suits this concept to a T, being a velodrome, which is an arena for track cycling, and the design of the venue is perfect for pulling it off - you can lock up your bike on the perimeter fence right next to where you lay down your picnic rug to enjoy a screening.

Screening both cult classics and new releases on their outdoor cinema under the stars every Saturday night in February, the Coburg Velodrome Ride-In Cinema has a lineup worth pedalling for. The lineup includes incredible cult classics E.T, Blade Runner and The Big Lebowski; and next-level new release Rogue One, the new Star Wars movie.

To curb your hunger and quench your thirst after your cycle there, there will be numerous food trucks on site and and a custom built cocktail bar.

And, to allow you to order and enjoy food and beverages unfettered throughout, there will be both table and picnic blanket service. I repeat, picnic blanket service! You'll get a flag to raise when you're ready for more and your order will be taken and presented to your picnic blanket.

Not biking in? The Coburg Velodrome is within short walking distance from the Batman train station, as well as Sydney Road trams, and there is ample on site car parking.

Ride in if you can, get there any other way if you can't!
