If you're seeking some culinary inspiration after watching MasterChef or My Kitchen Rules, look no further than your local primary school on a Saturday morning!

On every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, the bustling Coburg Farmers Market appears at Coburg North Primary School on O'Hea Street in Coburg and promises to inspire you with its abundant assortment of seasonal produce and artisan delights.

Organised by Melbourne Farmers Markets, who are also responsible for Veg Out, St Kilda, Collingwood Children's Farm, Slow Food, Abbotsford and Fairfield Farmers' Markets and accredited by the Victorian Farmers' Market Association, you can rest assured that there's high quality produce on offer here.

Shopping at your local farmers' market offers you the chance to buy fresh produce straight from the person who grew it. In many instances, produce has only been picked within hours of it reaching your local farmers' market, meaning that it has maximum time to grow on the vine and absorb all of the nutrients and goodness possible and you will really notice the taste difference! In most cases produce is organic, meaning no nasty chemicals in its production, compared with the chemically treated and lifeless produce available at the supermarket.
