I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Step back in time at the
Cobb & Co Museum which is the home of the
National Carriage Collection. Residents of the Toowoomba Regional Council area are granted free entry on presentation of their residential address.

Various exhibits (image JW)
There is a lot of variety in the
displays and special travelling exhibits are on throughout the year. The
sciencentre and megafauna are particularly interesting for children and being able to talk to people using traditional techniques to restore the carriages is great.

Apart from the interesting exhibits
hands on workshops are held in activities such as blacksmithing and lead lighting. They run tours, talks,
preschool and school holiday activities and the various spaces can be used to create a unique
function area. The onsite cafe,
Cobbs Coffee Shop is very popular as is the museum shop which sells one off artisan items, books, educational toys and locally made goods.
