If you are looking for something interesting to do then try out the Coast to Vines Rail Trail. Departing from Hallett Cove railway station it winds through 34 kilometres of beautiful scenery, arriving at Willunga. Take in sights like the wine making regions of McLaren Vale and stunning ocean views.

This concept of preserving the state's oldest railway lines belongs to an organisation called Rail Trails of Australia. As the name suggests, it covers all old railways across the country. It's main aim is to keep these railways alive and well maintained for the public to continue enjoying.

Gather together a group of friends or the whole family for an unforgettable train trip on the beautiful southern coast. For more information on this activity, please see here.

This is a great idea for anyone with kids who love trains! My nieces love any opportunity to go on an old style train. It is also a really beautiful area that is worth seeing. Agree that this is a great activity or anyone to take part in!

this article is very misleading, as it is not an actual train trip as the writer suggests, but a bike/walking trail following the line of the old railway route to Willunga. The scenery is spectacular as mentioned, but definitely no trains (unless you catch the train from Adelaide to the Marino Rocks/Hallett Cove start of the Trail). The rest is all walking or bike to Willunga! Please check all details before publishing these articles.
