The September spring school holidays are just around the corner for Queensland and how thrilling to know that Coast Club is back for the holidays, with fabulous outdoor and indoor adventure activities lined up, all aimed at keeping kids happy, active and entertained.

Coast Club Sunshine Coast runs two daily adventure sessions during the school holidays, jam-packed with exhilarating, challenging, safe and fun activities. All sessions at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre are led by friendly and professional trained instructors, aimed at children eight years of age and older. The best part? Parents and family members are welcome to join in on the fun too!

Every day the children have a different selection of activities to choose from. High-spirited adventures like canoeing, rock climbing, archery, vertical climb, giant swing, stand up paddleboarding and raft building are all on the itinerary for the family fun lovers.

The Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre have made a few adjustments and are at present only running morning and full-day sessions. Every session will include one or two activities, with some alternative activities available in the case of bad weather or extra-large groups. The full-day adventure combines both the morning and additional afternoon activities, with lunch provided from 12.00pm to 12.30pm.

*Morning adventures commence at 9.00 am to 12.00noon (three hours) for $34.50 per person; and

*Full day adventures commence at 9.00am to 3.30pm (six hours of fun) including a thirty-minute lunch break from 12.00noon to 12.30pm, for $73.20 per person

To prepare for your adventures, please bring -

hat and sunscreen

water bottle

comfy fitted clothes

enclosed shoes

healthy snacks

For the water-based activities, please bring -

swimwear and a towel

wet shoes or spare shoes

spare clothing

Drop Off

Drop off is available from 8.30am. Sessions start at exactly 9.00am, so please allow sufficient time to park, complete the activity release form and pay (if you haven't already paid online or via phone call) at the sign-in desk.

Pick Up

Pick up from reception is between 12.00noon and 12:30pm for morning sessions, and between 3:30pm and 4.00pm at the end of the day.

Parents/Guardians must provide photo ID for pick up and please sign their child out at reception. Please notify staff of any changes to ensure everyone's safety.

Indoor Rock Climbing

The Rock Face at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre is open to the public every Saturday between 9.00am and 4.30pm. Select your time slot (as indicated below*) -

9.00am to 10.30am

11.00am to 12.30pm

1.00pm to 2.30pm

3.00pm to 4.30pm*

School Holiday Timetable for Indoor Rock Climbing

School holidays, Monday 20 September to Friday 24 September and Monday 27 September to Friday 1 October with the four daily session times as above*

Saturdays, as per usual scheduling, rock climbing is open from 9.00am to 4.30pm, with the four daily session times as indicated above*

Bookings for indoor rock climbing are absolutely essential. Please call 1800 753 732 to book your daily session times.

Outdoor Pool
The Sunshine Coast's Recreation Centre's pool is also open for public use over weekends and school holidays for only $4.00 per person. Swimmers of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of fifteen are to be accompanied by an adult over the age of eighteen. Please follow the directions of the on-site lifeguard at all times.
