Party for a purpose with Co-Ground
Australian charity Co-Ground is kicking off another festive party to fund-raise for a great great cause with a 'campaign after party' taking place at The Night Cat in Fitzroy.
The party is to celebrate the campaign that started in February with when Co-Ground's $40,000 crowd-funding campaign for a mobile cafe kicked off. The charity, made up of 30 volunteers both in Melbourne and in 8 remote villages in remote Vanuatu are working to improve education opportunities in a bid to make equality real. In 2015 Co-Ground director Andrew Mellody won a National Anti-Poverty Award for his work with Co-Ground.
The event will showcase some amazing talent and all proceeds go to a great case!
The event kicks off on Friday, July 29 at Fitzroy's The Night and the showcase will feature the incredible emcee talents of Philly - the 2015 National Indigenous Music Award Winner, the rising talent of Adrian Eagle and the underground rap battle
extraordinaires, The Psyde Projects.
The night will be hosted by MC AL-Flex, with dedicated time for those wanting to spit rhymes in epic rap battles. MD DJs will also spin your hip hop favourites.
Funds raised from the night will go towards Co-Ground's social enterprise, a mobile cafe which will fuel their education partnership programs in the developing world.
Doors open at 8pm, and not only will the $15 ticket give you an amazing night of entertainment but also the opportunity to make a real difference!
