Standing high at 553 metres, the Canadian National Tower
() was once the tallest freestanding structure in the world. It is a broadcast and telecommunications tower in the heart of Toronto. Built by Canadian National Railway Company, the construction of the tower took about a year and involved over a thousand workers. It was completed in 1974 with its antenna being attached fourteen months later. Not only is the tower a centre for telecommunications, it also serves as a major tourist attraction with amazing observation decks and restaurants.
Although now surpassed by Burj Dubai as the world's tallest, the is still worth a visit. It has been welcoming the public since 1976, and is excited to be able to welcome you back too. Measures have been put in place according to public health guidelines. Do check their website
for opening hours, ticket purchases and dining reservations.
